The future has no deadline. You do.
Stop chasing deadlines and start living. A summer reminder that while projects can wait, your time can’t. Ready for Tomorrow starts today.
Last Friday, I was sitting at work. Another meeting.
Same story again. What we managed to do last quarter. What we’re planning for this one. And of course, what strategies we’ll implement in the next.
Friday. Small room. The AC humming softly, freezing the air and maybe even our ideas. It’s 3 PM.
That’s not the time for more project planning.
That’s the time for life.
And that’s when it hit me.

At work, everything has a deadline. The project has a timeline. The presentation is due Thursday.
The rollout? Sometime before the quarter closes. Because nothing screams urgency like a spreadsheet flashing red cells and a blinking EOM.
And if you miss it, fine.
Your manager will be annoyed.
Your client might frown.
The project gets pushed.
But there’s one deadline you can’t move.
Yours.
It’s not in Outlook.
There’s no reminder on Teams.
But it’s there.
And I wouldn’t try stretching it.
So as this sunny summer kicks in, let me just say one thing.
Pause. And start living.
I’m not telling you to quit and move to the mountains.
But maybe today, instead of checking off another task, you could step outside without your phone.
Get ice cream with your kids.
Sit by the water and do nothing at all.
Summer is a pretty good time to live.
Work will wait.
Robots will wait too.
And if you’re still worried about tomorrow, relax.
You’re reading Ready for Tomorrow.
You’re already ready for it.
